Why Your Brand Name Needs Trademark Protection Before You Launch
Your LLC filing does not stop a competitor from using your name. Here is what a federal trademark gives you, and why filing before launch wins.
Make Blugency your registered agent, and we file the change with your state.

A registered agent change is the state filing that replaces the agent listed for your company. Each state has its own form, and some ask the new agent to confirm that it accepts the role. It matters because lawsuits and other court papers go to the agent on record, so hiring someone new is not enough on its own.
Both make Blugency your agent. For $50 more a year, the U.S. Business Address also gives your company an address for its mail, bank and IRS forms.

Most changes start with one of these moments.
A resignation leaves you only weeks to find a replacement.
Your current agent raised its price after the first year.
Important letters reached you late, or never reached you at all.
You cannot stay your own agent after you move out of state.
Pick your plan. We file the switch with your state.

The Blugency Promise, three commitments with every agent change.
If the state rejects your change, we correct it and refile right away at no cost, including any new state fee.
If your state charges more than the fee we show, we pay the difference.
We remind you to cancel your old agent's plan, so you are not billed by two agents.
No. Your company signs the change and we file it. In states like Delaware, Texas and Florida, the old agent does not sign anything. You can tell your old agent if you like, but the filing does not need it.
It depends on the state. Wyoming takes the change only by mail and says processing can take up to 15 business days. Texas accepts it online and says online filing is faster, but it gives no fixed time.
Act quickly. In Delaware, a company has 30 days after the resignation is filed to name another agent, or the state cancels the company. In Texas and Nevada, and for Florida LLCs, the resigning agent stops serving on the 31st day after the resignation reaches the state.
The state can shut the company down. Texas can end a company without an agent, and Florida can dissolve an LLC that does not keep one. Lawsuits still go ahead. In Nevada, papers can then be served on the Secretary of State, and the company has only 40 days to answer.
Yes, in some states. Texas, Florida, Wyoming and Nevada ask for the new agent's consent or signed acceptance. With Blugency as your agent, our consent comes with your filing.
Our filing is free when Blugency becomes your agent. You pay the state fee and $99 a year for the agent, or $149 a year with a U.S. business address. The state fee is your state's own, including its processing fee where it charges one, and choosing your state on the price card shows your exact total.
Names differ from state to state. Florida calls it a Statement of Change, New York a Certificate of Change, and Wyoming an Appointment of New Registered Agent and Office. In California, LLCs, corporations and nonprofits use a new Statement of Information, while limited partnerships file an amendment.
No. The record in one state does not update the others, so we file a separate change for each state where your company is registered. Choose each state on the price card to see its total.
No. The agent needs a real street address in the state, as Florida, Texas and Wyoming require. Florida does not accept a P.O. box, and Texas does not accept an address that is only a mailbox service.
Your company can list it on bank and insurance applications, IRS forms and business letters. It also keeps your home address off public filings.
